Durga - The Savior Ma Durga is an avatar of Parvati, where she kills Mahishasur in order to save godly kingdom and mankind! She is the epitome of woman power and empowerment. In India the victory of Ma durga over Mahishasur is celebrated as durga puja during September-October, in the eastern Indian state West Bengal. There is a special flower called parijat blooms at that particular time, due to this reason that flower is associated eternally with Durga Puja.
